Srinagar, May 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday said six alleged drug peddlers were arrested and contraband substances seized during anti-narcotics operations carried out in Pulwama, Baramulla and Anantnag districts under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan.

According to a statement, police in Pulwama conducted separate naka checking operations at Nikas near Uzrampathri Bridge and Hakripora.

During the operations, two persons identified as Muzamil Ahmad Mir and Aamir Ahmad Sheikh were apprehended after recovery of around 8.5 grams and 5.5 grams of heroin-like substance respectively from their possession.
