Srinagar, July 30 -- The Selection Committee meeting for induction of officers from the Jammu & Kashmir Police into the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS) is expected to be held in the first week of August, sources disclosed.

Quoting sources, KNO reported that the meeting will consider induction against eight vacancies already determined for 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

As per procedure, the Union Public Service Commission convenes a Selection Committee meeting with all stakeholders, where officers' service records and Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) are scrutinized in accordance with Regulation 5(4) of the Promotion Regulations.
