Srinagar, May 21 -- Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education Sakeena Itoo on Wednesday visited Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura and reviewed healthcare services, patient care facilities and overall medical infrastructure at the tertiary care institution.

During the visit, the minister toured various departments and wards of the hospital and inspected the quality of healthcare facilities being provided to patients.

She reviewed the functioning of emergency services, diagnostic units, specialised treatment facilities and patient support systems besides assessing availability of medicines and essential medical equipment.
