SRINAGAR, Sept. 15 -- National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday said Shahr-e-Khaas deserves special attention owing to its historical significance and dense population, while stressing the need for strengthening civic infrastructure and improving basic services in the old city.

Sagar made the remarks during an extensive tour of several areas of Shahr-e-Khaas, where he reviewed ongoing development works and interacted with residents to assess local issues and grievances.

He said the Omar Abdullah-led government was utilising available resources to improve public welfare and infrastructure, including roads, drainage, drinking water, electricity and healthcare facilities.
