SRINAGAR, Oct. 8 -- National Conference leader and Habba Kadal MLA Shameema Firdous on Thursday reviewed a proposed Rs.4.93-crore conservation and restoration project for the historic Khanqah-e-Moula shrine in Srinagar.

During her visit to the shrine, associated with Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), Firdous assessed the proposed works aimed at preserving the religious, historical and architectural significance of the centuries-old structure.

According to details shared during the visit, the project includes conservation of historic woodwork, restoration of the traditional roof, repair of Jafri and Panjrakari work, restoration of papier-mache and stonework, and improvement of Devri flooring.
