Srinagar, April 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has earmarked Rs 93.77 crore for the construction of sports stadiums in various parts of the Union Territory, Minister for Youth Services and Sports Satish Sharma informed the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
Replying to a question raised by legislator Muzaffar Iqbal Khan in the House, Sharma said the amount has been allocated for developing sports infrastructure across different areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister said the proposed stadiums are aimed at strengthening sports facilities and promoting sporting activities among the youth in both urban and rural areas.
