SRINAGAR, June 16 -- Rashtriya Raksha University and the Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Force on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness, response capabilities and capacity-building across Jammu and Kashmir.

The agreement seeks to combine the academic expertise of Rashtriya Raksha University with the operational experience of the SDRF to strengthen training, research and institutional capacity in the field of disaster management.

Under the MoU, the two institutions will collaborate on specialised training programmes for SDRF personnel, jointly certify academic and training courses, and support the strengthening of disaster management training centres in the Union Territory....
