Srinagar, Aug. 15 -- Three heritage conservation projects worth Rs 18.60 crore have been sanctioned in Jammu and Kashmir, covering Uttervehini Heritage in Samba, Basohli Fort in Kathua, and Yatri Niwas with the adjoining Nallah Soundbrari Spring in Anantnag. The approvals are part of a wider plan to restore sites of historical and cultural importance across the region.

The sanctioned projects include Rs 6.86 crore for Uttervehini Heritage, Rs 6.50 crore for Basohli Fort, and Rs 5.24 crore for Yatri Niwas and the Soundbrari Spring. These sites have long been identified as requiring repair and revival, and the funding is intended to ensure structural stability, renovation, and basic beautification.
