SRINAGAR, Aug. 18 -- Secretary, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB-G RAM G] and directed officials to intensify efforts to boost person-days generation, activate worksites and ensure timely wage payments across Jammu and Kashmir.
Chairing a review meeting here, Asad emphasised the need for a mission-mode approach to strengthen grassroots implementation of the employment programme. He directed Executive Engineers to process wage-component bills without delay and ensure that material payments are cleared alongside wage payments.
