Ramban, May 3 -- A 22-year-old youth from Ramban, who had been missing for nearly 20 days, was found dead on Saturday, officials said.

According to officials, the body was recovered from Nallah Bishlari near Kraalna Digdool in Ramban district. The youth had gone missing on April 12 near Makarkoot along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway while travelling from Jammu to his native village.

Officials said he had allegedly been intercepted and assaulted by a group of individuals before jumping into a nearby stream, after which he remained untraced.
