Rajouri, Aug. 22 -- Mohd Ayaz Raina, a Botany lecturer at Government Higher Secondary School Dalhori in Rajouri district, has been selected for the National Award to Teachers 2026.
Raina is the only teacher from Jammu and Kashmir to be chosen for the award this year. The award will be conferred on September 5 on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
The recognition comes after 13 years of service in the education sector. Reacting to the selection, Raina said the honour reflected the collective efforts of his students, colleagues, educational institutions and family members who supported him throughout his career.
