RAJOURI, May 8 -- The Rajouri district administration has extended financial assistance to a young orphan boxer selected to represent India at an international boxing event in Uzbekistan as part of efforts to support local sporting talent under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
Officials said the assistance was provided under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma to support boxer Yasir, who has overcome difficult socio-economic conditions to excel in the sport.
Currently living with his family in modest conditions near the Sports Stadium Rajouri, Yasir has emerged as a symbol of resilience and determination despite limited resources.
