SRINAGAR, Aug. 21 -- Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir received light to moderate rainfall on Thursday as the Meteorological Centre forecast generally hot and humid weather with intermittent rain and thundershowers across the Union Territory till August 27.

The weather department said one or two spells of light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at scattered to many places on August 21 and 22. Brief intense showers accompanied by heavy rainfall may occur in a few districts during the early morning and afternoon hours.

From August 23 to 27, hot and humid conditions are expected to prevail, with brief spells of rain or thundershowers at scattered places, mainly during the morning and afternoon hours.
