Srinagar, Oct. 9 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said the expansion of railway infrastructure is providing a major boost to Jammu and Kashmir's tourism, horticulture and industrial sectors, while accelerating the Union Territory's journey towards peace and prosperity.

Interacting with a delegation of media representatives from Mumbai at Lok Bhavan here, Sinha said the realization of Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari rail connectivity marked a historic milestone in Jammu and Kashmir's development trajectory.

He said improved rail infrastructure was creating new economic opportunities and strengthening the Union Territory's integration with the rest of the country.
