Srinagar, Feb. 26 -- The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Thursday announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama districts to carry out maintenance works on various 33 kV lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 kV Karan Nagar line will be observed on March 1, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, due to which electricity supply to Chattabal, Balgarden, Zaldagar, Civil Secretariat, Gole Market, Guru Bazar, Tankipora, Shaheed Gunj and adjoining areas will remain affected.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam SIDCO tap line will be carried out on March 3, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, affecting power supply to Housing Colony, NIFT and adjoining ar...
