BARAMULLA, Oct. 25 -- Police in Baramulla have solved a fatal hit-and-run case within three hours of its reporting, apprehending the accused driver and seizing the vehicle involved in the accident, police said.

The accident occurred on the Malpora-Heewan Road, where a 45-year-old woman, Gulshan, wife of Mohammad Ramzan and a resident of Malpora, was reportedly hit by a vehicle.

She was subsequently taken to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Sheeri by two persons travelling in a Light Passenger (LP) Bus 407 bearing registration number JK05-7249. She later succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead at the health facility.
