Srinagar, Sept. 25 -- Police in Baramulla on Friday intensified enforcement against tourist overcharging, harassment and permit violations in the Gulmarg-Tangmarg area, seizing seven vehicles and challaning five others.
According to a police statement, the drive was launched to protect tourists and ensure compliance with traffic regulations in the popular tourist destination.
During the operation, seven vehicles were seized and five were challaned under relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act for offences including overcharging, harassment of tourists, permit violations and other traffic-related offences.
