Srinagar, March 4 -- Police on Tuesday registered separate cases against National Conference leader and Member of Parliament Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and former Mayor of Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattoo for allegedly circulating misleading content on digital and social media platforms.

In a statement, police said the action was taken following credible inputs regarding the circulation of "false, fabricated and misleading" content aimed at creating fear, disturbing public order and inciting unlawful activities.
