GANDERBAL, June 22 -- Police have intensified security arrangements across Ganderbal district ahead of the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela 2026 and the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees.
As part of the security preparedness for the Kheer Bhawani Mela, police conducted area domination exercises in and around the Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple. The exercise was aimed at maintaining a secure environment for devotees, local residents and visitors expected to participate in the annual congregation.
