Jammu, June 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday disengaged a Special Police Officer (SPO) from service over allegations of corrupt practices, accumulation of disproportionate assets, and prolonged unauthorised absence from duty, officials said.
According to an order issued by Kathua Senior Superintendent of Police Mohita Sharma, SPO Rishi Sharma, a resident of Keerian in Kathua district, was found to be involved in "immoral and corrupt practices" based on information received from the district special branch.
The order stated that the SPO had allegedly amassed significant movable and immovable assets through such activities.
