Srinagar, April 27 -- After Srinagar and Shopian districts, police, in a bid to strengthen its anti-narcotics efforts, have deployed its trained Narcotic Dog Squad in Budgam to detect and curb drug trafficking across the district.

A police spokesperson informed that sniffer dogs were deployed at key locations, including the New Bus Stand Budgam, to assist in identifying concealed contraband substances and tracking drug peddlers. The specialized canine unit enhances the operational capabilities of the police by enabling precise detection and timely recovery of illicit narcotics, he said.
