Srinagar, June 13 -- Police in Pulwama have attached a single-storey residential house worth Rs.15.85 lakh belonging to an alleged drug peddler involved in an NDPS case.

The attached property belongs to Shabir Ahmad Khan of Karnabal Samboora, Kakapora. During the course of investigation, the property was found to be an illegally acquired asset, raised through proceeds of illicit narcotic trafficking and disproportionate to the known sources of income of the accused, a police spokesperson said.

He said the action has been taken under the provisions of Sections 68-E and 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985 in connection with FIR No. 38/2024 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Kakapora.
