SRINAGAR, Sept. 16 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has fixed timelines for completion and handover of remaining accommodation units under the Prime Minister's Package for Kashmiri migrant employees and reviewed plans for renovation and infrastructure upgrades in migrant camps.
The decisions were taken at a review meeting of projects being implemented by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRR&R), jointly chaired by Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (R&B), Anil Kumar Singh and Principal Secretary, DMRR&R, Chandraker Bharti.
Officials informed the meeting that of the 6,000 flats sanctioned for PM Package employees at 20 locations across the Kashmir Valley, 5,176 have been completed. ...
