SRINAGAR, Sept. 13 -- In a move aimed at addressing growing parking shortages and traffic congestion in Jammu city, the Omar Abdullah-led government has approved two major parking infrastructure projects worth Rs.49.34 crore.

The projects include a Parking-cum-Commercial Complex at Parade and a Multi-Level Car Parking Facility at SMGS Hospital, both intended to improve traffic management and ease parking pressure in some of the city's busiest areas.

According to officials, the projects have received administrative approval and form part of the government's broader efforts to strengthen urban infrastructure and promote planned development in Jammu.
