India, Oct. 7 -- SRINAGAR: A historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the ICAR-National Research Centre for Makhana (ICAR-NRCM), Darbhanga, Bihar, and the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), marking a significant milestone to boost aquatic crop production, processing and value addition.

The MoU was formally signed by Director, ICAR-NRCM, Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, and Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir, Prof.Nazir Ahmad Ganai, in the presence of DDG (Engg) ICAR New Delhi Dr SN Jha and various scientists of NRC for Makhana Darbhanga, CIPHET Ludhiana and SKUAST Kashmir.
