Jammu, Aug. 11 -- Northern Railway's Jammu division has achieved its highest-ever single-day punctuality rate for Mail and Express trains, recording an impressive 94.12 per cent on July 31, 2026, an official said on Monday.
The milestone surpasses its previous best of 92.59 per cent recorded on February 20, 2025, marking a significant achievement in operational efficiency, a spokesman of the Jammu Division said.
Describing the achievement as a "golden milestone" in its operational history, the spokesman said the success is particularly noteworthy as it was achieved not under ideal conditions, but amidst complex, large-scale infrastructure modernization work.
