Srinagar, Aug. 11 -- The Narparistan road near Tiny Tots School in Fateh Kadal, Srinagar, has fallen into severe disrepair, prompting outrage from locals who say its condition poses daily hardships and safety hazards.
Residents describe the stretch as a vital link now marred by deep potholes, uneven surfaces, and debris-problems they blame on years of official neglect. "For the last three years, not a single layer of macadam has been laid. Driving or even walking here is hazardous," said Abdul Rashid Khan, a local resident.
Others point to poor drainage, which leaves the road nearly impassable during rains. "Waterlogging, runoff, and incomplete drainage work have worsened the damage," said another resident.
