JAMMU, Dec. 22 -- In pursuance of the directions of the Secretary to the Government Transport Department, Jammu & Kashmir, the Motor Vehicles Department (Enforcement Wing) has launched a special traffic enforcement drive across the Union Territory to curb traffic violations and enhance road safety.

The drive, being conducted in line with the decisions of the Multi-Disciplinary Committee on Traffic Management System in Jammu and Srinagar, focuses particularly on habitual offenders and serious traffic violators. Enforcement teams have intensified checking at strategic locations and are taking strict action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
