SRINAGAR, April 7 -- The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) on Monday carried out a major enforcement drive across all districts of the Kashmir division to ensure strict compliance with traffic regulations and improve road safety.
The drive was conducted at multiple strategic locations, including high-traffic areas and accident-prone spots, under the supervision of the Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, with overall monitoring by the Transport Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir.
Special teams were deployed to check violations, including driving without a valid licence, overloading, non-use of seat belts and helmets, use of mobile phones while driving and violation of emission norms.
