Srinagar, Aug. 2 -- Police on Saturday claimed to have cracked a blind murder case within six hours of the recovery of an unidentified dead body, leading to arrest of two persons.

Sharing details, a police spokesperson said that on July 30, 2026, police recovered an unidentified dead body wrapped in gunny bags lying in the Babademb area beneath the Baba Dawood Khaki Bridge, Khanyar.

A case was registered, and during investigation, police zeroed in on Haleema Bano and her son Moomin Ahmad, originally residents of Machil, Kupwara, who were residing as tenants at Mughal Mohalla, Rainawari.
