Jammu, March 30 -- Legislators on Sunday raised a wide range of public interest issues during Zero Hour in the Assembly, seeking government intervention on matters related to governance and public service delivery across Jammu and Kashmir.

Among the major issues highlighted were regularisation of daily wagers and ad hoc employees, pending electricity dues, shortage of teachers and medical staff, delays in infrastructure projects, release of pensions and rehabilitation of affected shopkeepers and workers.

Balwant Singh Mankotia and Satish Sharma urged the government to frame a policy for regularisation of daily wagers and ad hoc employees.
