Ganderbal, May 20 -- Member of Legislative Assembly Kangan Mian Meher Ali on Tuesday completed his self-enumeration through the Census Self-Enumeration Portal under the Census 2027 digital initiative.
Officials said the MLA became among the first public representatives in Ganderbal district to complete the self-enumeration exercise.
The process was facilitated by the Tehsildar Kangan, who is also serving as Charge Officer for Census 2027 in the tehsil.
During the exercise, the MLA was briefed about the importance of the digital census, use of the mobile application and web portal, and the role of citizens in ensuring accurate and real-time data collection.
