Srinagar, May 13 -- The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast more spells of rain and thundershowers across most parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours and warned of hailstorms, lightning and gusty winds at isolated places.

According to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, generally cloudy weather with intermittent rain and thundershowers was witnessed across several areas of Kashmir and Jammu divisions during the day.

The MeT department told the news agency KNO that hailstorms, thunder and gusty winds with speeds of 50-60 kilometres per hour are likely at a few places in both divisions.
