M.K. Sinha takes charge as ADG CID J&K
SRINAGAR, Aug. 29 -- Senior IPS officer M.K. Sinha on Friday assumed charge as Additional Director General (ADG), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Jammu and Kashmir, following the transfer of Nitish Kumar to the post of ADG Armed Police, J&K.
An IPS officer of the 1996 batch, Sinha was previously serving as ADG (Headquarters) at the Police Headquarters, J&K.
Soon after taking charge, he chaired a meeting of senior CID officers and reviewed the functioning of the intelligence wing, officials said.
Nitish Kumar, a 1999-batch IPS officer, had been serving as ADG CID and Director of the State Investigation Agency (SIA), J&K, before his transfer.
Senior officers of the CID headquarters welcomed Sinha and assured him of their cooper...
