India, Oct. 20 -- The Indian delegation led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha departed Elista, Republic of Kalmykia, Russia today with the holy relics of Lord Buddha, an official press release informed here.
It said the holy relics, recognized as a National Treasure of India, were brought to Kalmykia for a week-long exposition from 11th-18th October, 2025. The exposition aimed to strengthen people-to-people ties and celebrate shared Buddhist heritage was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), the National Museum, and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
