Srinagar, Sept. 9 -- A media delegation from Kerala on Wednesday visited NHPC's Uri-I and Uri-II hydropower projects in Baramulla district as part of an ongoing seven-day press tour of Jammu and Kashmir organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Kochi.

The delegation was briefed about the functioning, infrastructure and power generation capabilities of the projects and gained first-hand insights into hydropower development in the region.

At NHPC Uri-I, Head of Project K. Vaitheeswaran welcomed the visiting journalists and apprised them of the ongoing works under Stage-II of the project. Officials also briefed the delegation on various developmental activities and operational aspects of the project.
