Srinagar, June 5 -- Kashmir IGP V K Birdi on Thursday reviewed the security and logistical arrangements being put in place for this year's Amarnath Yatra that begins next month.

Birdi emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all arrangements for a safe, secure and hassle-free experience of pilgrims.

The annual pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir will commence on July 3 and conclude after 57 days on August 28. Pilgrims between the ages of 13 and 70 can undertake the yatra.
