Karnah, March 20 -- In a major relief for residents of the border area of Karnah ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Karnah-Chowkibal road has been reopened, enabling hundreds of stranded passengers to safely return to their homes after days of disruption caused by inclement weather.

The vital road link had remained closed due to continuous heavy snowfall, strong winds, poor visibility and the looming threat of avalanches, severely affecting normal life in the region. With Eid approaching, many residents had expressed concern over being unable to reunite with their families.
