Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (JKLCMA) Vice Chairman Khurshid Ahmad Shah on Friday reviewed ongoing conservation, restoration and navigational channel cleaning works in Gilsar during a field inspection.
Accompanied by senior officials of the Authority, including engineers and field staff, Shah assessed the progress of dredging and cleaning operations being carried out in Gilsar and Khushalsar water bodies.
Officials informed him that dredging of two major channels from Saidapora Bridge towards Firdousa Abad and Sazgaripora had been completed, while work on opening and cleaning the remaining interior channels was in progress.
