SRINAGAR, June 25 -- Agriculture Minister Javid Ahmad Dar on Wednesday reviewed the impact of recent fruit fall incidents reported from horticultural areas of Shopian and Anantnag districts and ordered a detailed assessment to determine the causes and extent of the damage.

Chairing a review meeting, the Minister took stock of losses reported from various orchard belts and reviewed measures being undertaken for assessment and mitigation. He directed officials to conduct a comprehensive ground-level survey to accurately quantify the damage and submit reports at the earliest.
