SRINAGAR, Sept. 11 -- The Jal Shakti Department has finalised a Comprehensive Implementation and Reform Plan (CIRP) under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0, outlining a roadmap for strengthening rural drinking water infrastructure and improving service delivery across Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said the plan provides a time-bound framework detailing scheme-wise completion timelines, financial allocations, reform measures and governance milestones aimed at ensuring sustainable and reliable drinking water services in rural areas.

The CIRP focuses on timely completion of ongoing water supply schemes, improved operation and maintenance, source sustainability, water quality management and institutional reforms under JJM 2.0.
