Jammu, Oct. 1 -- J&K Bank on Thursday marked its 88th foundation day, reaffirming its commitment to supporting economic development in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh while sustaining the institution's long-term growth.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Amitava Chatterjee chaired a commemorative event at the bank's Regional Business Centre in Jammu. Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, senior executives and divisional heads attended the programme, while officials from the corporate headquarters joined through video conferencing.

The function began with tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh, who founded the bank in 1938 to promote financial empowerment and economic development in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
