SRINAGAR, July 29 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a three-member committee to inquire into the death of a patient at SKIMS Medical College Hospital, Bemina, on April 26 this year.

According to an order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department on Tuesday, the inquiry committee will be headed by the Principal, Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar. Its other members are the Head of the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at GMC Srinagar and the Medical Superintendent of Children's Hospital, Bemina.

The committee has been tasked with examining all medical records related to the case, including treatment sheets, investigation reports, nursing notes and consent forms.
