SRINAGAR, Sept. 11 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar, on Thursday visited Kulgam and Shopian districts to review the security situation, counter-terrorism operations, crime control measures and overall law and order scenario in south Kashmir.

The IGP was accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Range, Javed Iqbal Mattoo.

During the visit, Kumar chaired separate security and crime review meetings in both districts. The meetings were attended by the respective Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), senior officers and jurisdictional gazetted officers.
