Srinagar, July 22 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a high-level committee to examine the career progression of Panchayat Accounts Assistants (PAAs), a move aimed at addressing the long-pending service concerns of the cadre.
According to Government Order No. 109-JK (RD&PR) of 2026, issued by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, the five-member committee has been tasked with preparing a comprehensive proposal on the Assured Career Progression (ACP) of Panchayat Accounts Assistants.
