Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved three major heritage conservation projects worth Rs.18.60 crore aimed at restoring historically significant sites and promoting heritage tourism across the Union Territory.

The approved projects include restoration and revival of heritage structures at Uttervehini Heritage in Samba at a cost of Rs.6.86 crore, repair and beautification of the historic Basohli Fort in Kathua for Rs.6.50 crore, and restoration of Yatri Niwas along with beautification of the historic Soundbrari Spring in Anantnag at a cost of Rs.5.24 crore.
