Srinagar, Aug. 10 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved Rs.10 crore for the repair and restoration of the historic Rattan Garh Fort in Bhaderwah, Doda district, as part of efforts to preserve heritage sites and promote tourism.

According to officials, the project will focus on conserving the fort's architectural and historical features, improving its condition and developing it as a heritage tourism destination in the Chenab Valley.

The restoration is expected to enhance visitor facilities while protecting the historical character of the structure. Officials said the project is part of the government's broader initiative to preserve Jammu and Kashmir's cultural and architectural heritage.
