Srinagar, Nov. 7 -- In a significant boost to postgraduate medical education in Jammu and Kashmir, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has added 12 postgraduate (PG) seats across various disciplines for the academic session 2026-27, taking the institute's total PG seat strength from 242 to 254.

As per the details reported by the news agency KNO, the enhancement includes an increase in seats in four existing disciplines, besides the introduction of postgraduate training in Respiratory Medicine for the first time, marking an important development for the department.
