Ganderbal, Sept. 1 -- Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore on Monday reviewed preparations for Census 2027 in the district's snow-bound areas and directed officials to ensure timely coverage of all households during the enumeration process.
Chairing a meeting of census functionaries, Kishore, who is also the Principal Census Officer for the district, asked charge officers to complete the appointment and training of enumerators before the commencement of fieldwork.
He directed officials to ensure that enumerators are trained in census procedures and the use of the designated mobile application, and that the devices used for data collection meet prescribed specifications.
