Srinagar, Aug. 26 -- Security forces on Tuesday arrested five persons in separate operations in south Kashmir's Shopian and Pulwama districts, recovering grenades, a pistol, ammunition and posters allegedly linked to a militant outfit.
In Shopian, three persons were apprehended during a naka-checking operation and two hand grenades along with five posters allegedly bearing Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) markings were recovered from their possession.
Officials identified the trio as Junaid Ahmad Dar, Amir Yousif and Junaid Muzaffer, all residents of Kulgam. They were reportedly travelling on a motorcycle when they were intercepted.
The recovered material has been seized and further investigation is underway, officials said.
